Children’s Books Ireland & Hodges Figgis on Dawson Street welcome families upstairs for an evening celebrating some of Ireland’s leading children’s book artists. From 17:00–19:00, visitors can enjoy live drawing, storytelling and book clinics with Chris Haughton, Erika McGann, Clive McFarland and Peter Donnelly. Newly appointed Laureate na nÓg Chris Haughton, author and illustrator, opens the evening with a live reading and drawing session for children. Erika McGann and Clive McFarland follow with a joint event celebrating their latest collaboration, Nowhere for a Ghost to Sleep. Author and illustrator Peter Donnelly rounds out the evening with an introduction to his new book, I Am NOT a Dog. Families can also drop into the free Children’s Books Ireland Book Clinics, available in English and as Gaeilge, to chat with an expert Book Doctor and receive a personalised reading recommendation.
