Workshop

Family Workshop – Build your own Cathedral

St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin

Free

Join us for a fun, family-friendly workshop exploring the history and architecture of our 800-year old cathedral as part of Open House 2026! Discover how medieval builders created one of Ireland’s most impressive buildings and learn about the arches, towers, stained glass windows, and other features that make Gothic cathedrals so unique. Then become a medieval builder yourself! Using a variety of craft materials, design and build your own miniature cathedral. Experiment with wooden sticks and dowels, corrugated card and cardboard tubes, and more as you bring your creation to life! It is recommended for children aged 6 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This workshop will run on a drop-in basis, so feel free to stop by the South Transept anytime between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Pre-Book Only
