Family Workshop – Music in the Cathedral
St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin
Looking for a creative way to spend your summer with the family? Join us this July during the Liberties Festival for a fascinating music workshop at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral! Discover the Cathedral’s rich musical history, from the majestic sounds of the Cathedral Choir to the powerful music of the organ. Give your children hands-on experience with the WOOFYT organ (a wooden, one-octave organ designed for young technologists). In this engaging workshop, a skilled facilitator will explain how organs work, and children will have the chance to explore the connection between music, science, and technology. This workshop offers an exciting opportunity for the whole family to learn, create, and explore music in a beautiful and historic setting. Recommended for children aged 6 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This workshop will be run on a drop-in basis – You can come by the Cathedral’s South Transept anytime between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
